Days like these are what make being a Caps fan worth it! We packed the Penn Quarter Sports Tavern with enthusiastic people looking to have a good time and that’s just what they did! The Quarter’s staff were on point with a delicious limited food menu and the build-your-own poutine bar, and the Canadian-inspired drink menu was enjoyed by all. With everyone settled in we got ready to watch the Caps take on the Devils at Prudential Center, the game being shown on every TV in the place. Our nation’s mascot, Slapshot, made an appearance during the game to get us all in the spirit. Along with head shots of past and present Canadian-born Capitals players, the cutest air hockey table was set up at the top of the stairs. We got to see Ovi score his 700th goal live on TV and the revelry was deafening! Despite the eventual loss to the home team, the party went on into the evening and everyone left happy.
Many thanks go out to Penn Quarter Sports Tavern for hiring a professional photographer to make sure we looked our best!
