The crew's final voyage to the Coliseum!

Washington Capitals at New York Islanders
April 5, 2014 | Nassau Coliseum | Long Island, New York

For our last CRC game of the season it was fitting that we bid adieu to the Nassau Veteran’s Memorial Coliseum, home of the New York Islanders since the team’s inception. Many of the same roadies who had traveled to The Rock the previous night joined us this afternoon. We had a decent tailgate going despite high winds, and the Caps treated us to a shootout win.

Trip Itinerary

The Caps Road Crew will be traveling to Long Island to visit the storied Veterans Memorial Coliseum as the Caps take on the Islanders at 5:00 PM on Saturday, April 5, 2014.

The CRC has made arrangements for lower bowl group tickets, however individual transportation and lodging arrangements will be up to those attending.

Current plans: On Saturday, April 5th, the Crew will gather in Uniondale inside the Coliseum around 4:30 PM for warmups and the 5:00 PM drop of the puck. At this time we will be accepting reservations for the package ticket(s) to both the New Jersey and Long Island games (see details for the NJ end of the trip). If we are able to accomodate those wishing tickets to just one or the other we will try, but cannot guarantee anything at present.

The cost will be $90 per ticket for the LI game (the NJ tickets are $85, for a total of $175 for the package). Payment in full is required to reserve your tickets. No extra fees over the cost of the ticket will be charged. Info about the optional pregame happy hour get-together will be made available to guests or to others upon request.

Be sure to get your reservation in asap to guarantee your spot alongside the other Caps fans making the trip. The Islanders have set us up with lower bowl seats and we are excited to catch one last game in Uniondale before the team heads to Brooklyn.

Our last trip weekend begins in the Garden State!

Washington Capitals at New Jersey Devils
April 4, 2014 | Prudential Center | Newark, New Jersey

The Crew took a small group of Roadies up to the Prudential Center in downtown Newark for the first of two final 2014 trips. A rainy day couldn’t down our spirits, but a 2-1 loss to the home team was a tough pill to swallow.

Roadies head west for some southern hospitality!

Washington Capitals at Nashville Predators
March 30, 2014 | Bridgestone Arena | Nashville, Tennessee

Music City played host to the Crew’s only Western Conference trip of the season. Fifty diehard Roadies came together at Bridgestone Arena to see the Caps take on the Preds. Troy Brouwer netting two and Backstrom hitting the twine once weren’t enough to grab two points, as the Caps failed to score in the shootout.

Trip Itinerary

The Caps Road Crew are journeying to Bridgestone Arena to see the Caps take on the Nashville Predators for a Sunday night meeting on March 30th at 7 pm (CST).

The CRC has made arrangements for lower level group tickets however individual transportation and lodging plans are up to those attending. Nashville has become a favorite destination for the Crew and is the only Western Conference opponent we’ll travel to see in the regular season.

Current plans: The Crew will meet at Bridgestone Arena for warmups at 6:30 pm (CST). We have acquired lower level seats for $85 each. No extra fees over the cost of the ticket will be charged. Valentine's Day weekend is even more sweet!

Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins at Hershey Bears
February 15, 2014 | Giant Center | Hershey, Pennsylvania
Bus Trip

On Valentine’s Day weekend the Crew traveled to a destination we’ll always love, Hershey, PA! The Bears were hosting the baby Penguins which is usually an entertaining match. They didn’t disappoint, going up 5-1 late in the game before the Pens tried to tie it up. The home team pulled out a 5-4 victory to send us home smiling.

Trip Itinerary

We will be hitting the road by bus to the Giant Center to cheer on the Hershey Bears as they take on the Baby Pens.

The CRC has made arrangements for bus transportation and lower level group tickets. No tickets aside from those with bus transportation are available at this time.

Current plans: We’ll have a pickup in northern Virginia at Springfield Metro station at 12:30 p.m. and one in Maryland at the Shady Grove Metro station (off I-270 & ICC) at approximately 1:00 p.m. We should arrive in Hershey by 3:30 pm for lunch at the Bear’s Den in the Hershey Lodge before heading over to the arena at 6 p.m. to catch warmups before the 7 p.m. drop of the puck. The CRC bus will be returning to the D.C. area as soon as possible following the game (expected arrival back at Shady Grove around midnight and Springfield Metro around 12:30 a.m.). Parking is free at both Metro stations but the Metro will be open in time for both our departure and return and we encourage our guests to make use of it if convenient.

All of our available spaces include bus transportation and the cost will be $60 per person. No extra fees or money over the cost of the bus and game tickets will be charged. You may bring your own food and drink on the bus (coolers will be provided for your convenience). There is no smoking allowed on the bus and time constraints will most likely prevent us from making any stops on the way. The bus is equipped with a restroom and video/tv units.

The new and improved MSG hosts the Roadies!

A shutout, a hat trick, and a VP among the VIPs!

Washington Capitals at Philadelphia Flyers
November 1, 2013 | Wells Fargo Center | Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

Our first trip of the season took a small group of Caps fans up to the City of Brotherly Shove for an evening meeting with the Flyers. The scoring started late in the 1st with a top corner goal by Nicklas Backstrom and the visitors never let up. The final score of 7-0 by the Caps proved to be the worst drubbing the Flyers had endured at home in several decades, making for a fun trip for our intrepid Roadies!

Trip Itinerary

The Caps Road Crew will be traveling to Philadelphia, PA for a Friday evening match at the Wells Fargo Center.

We will be heading up I-95 to Wells Fargo Center to cheer on the Caps as they take on our new divisional opponent, the Flyers, at 7:00 pm. We have acquired club level suite seats for this game (the same we’ve had in recent seasons) and with the Flyers treating us to an open bar and buffet, tailgating will not be necessary.

Current plans: Guests are welcome to enter the suite at 5:30 for some pregame beverages before meeting up at warmups at 6:00 pm. The puck drops at 7:00 pm. The cost of the trip is $190 per person for a seat in the all-inclusive suite. No extra fees or money over the cost of the game ticket will be charged. Tickets will only be available via will-call at Wells Fargo Center.
