Washington Capitals at Carolina Hurricanes

Bus Trip

A chilly Friday morning found us gathering for our first bus trip of the ’06 – ’07 season. We gathered at Springfield Mall and headed down to Hurricane country. The trip was full of fun despite the 6-2 loss at the hands of the defending Stanley Cup Champions.

Trip Itinerary

A new year full of new possibilities! The Caps Road Crew will be hitting the road by bus traveling to the RBC Center in Raleigh, North Carolina to see our Caps take on the defending Stanley Cup champions, the Carolina Hurricanes. With any luck the fans in Raleigh will be seeing red, and we don’t mean their team’s jerseys!

The CRC will make arrangements for bus transportation and group tickets. Unfortunately, due to the great demand for tickets to this game, we will not be able to provide tickets to those who do not travel on the bus with the Crew.

Current plans: The Crew will be meeting at Springfield Mall (just off I-95 in Springfield, VA) at 12:30 pm on Friday the 26th and the bus will leave no later than 1:00pm. We’ll arrive in Raleigh around 6:00 p.m., in plenty of time to head inside and catch warmups before the 7:00 p.m. drop of the puck. The CRC bus will be returning to the D.C. area immediately following the game (expected arrival back in D.C. by 2:30 a.m., in plenty of time to catch Metro). The cost of the trip is $91 per person (includes lower bowl ticket and transportation). No extra fees or money over the cost of the bus and game tickets will be charged. You may bring your own food and drink on the bus (coolers will be provided for your convenience). There is no smoking allowed on the bus and time constraints will most likely prevent us from making any stops on the way. The bus is equipped with a restroom and video/TV units. In keeping with Road Crew policy, anyone under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult.

While this trip is quite a few months away, Carolina is a popular Road Crew destination and will be sure to sell out quickly. Ticket arrangements have been made and reservations are filling up fast. Please get your reservation in ASAP to guarantee your spot on the CRC Bus! A reservation should be considered a firm commitment and a deposit may be required. Approximately 40 spaces are available. For payment information and further details on this trip, please e-mail the trip coordinator at and include the trip destination in the subject line.
