Bears vs Pens in the AHL Outdoor Classic!

Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins at Hershey Bears
January 20, 2013 | Giant Stadium | Hershey, Pennsylvania
Bus Trip

Our final trip of the season was a return to Hershey, Pennsylvania for the annual AHL Outdoor Classic! The Bears met their arch-rivals, the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins, at Hersheypark Arena. The frigid temperatures and constant winds made the game viewing a shivery experience, but the chance to see some good hockey in the great outdoors was worth the chills.

Trip Itinerary

The Hershey Bears are hosting the baby Pens for this season’s AHL Outdoor Classic at Giant Stadium in Hershey, PA. The Bears have set us up with fantastic group seats in Section 6 and arranged them as an awesome package. It includes a ticket to the alumni game at 3pm on Saturday, January 19th, a ticket for the Outdoor Classic at 5pm on Sunday, January 20th, and upon admittance, a daypass for Hersheypark valid through July 4, 2013. The rain date for the Outdoor Classic is Monday, January 21st, Martin Luther King Jr. Day.

The cost for this package is $100, an amazing deal. For additional details or to claim yours, email us at info@capsroadcrew.com. Please specify number of ticket packages needed.

For those fans who just want to travel to Hershey for the Outdoor Classic on Sunday, we are happy to provide bus transportation to the game for $40. The bus ride is not included in the price of the ticket package nor is it required to purchase said package. It is also not limited to those who have purchased a package through us. All fans are welcome who would like a ride.

The plans so far are to have a pickup in northern Virginia at Springfield Metro station at 9:00 a.m. and one in Maryland at the Shady Grove Metro station (off I-270) at approximately 9:30 a.m. We should arrive in Hershey by noon to join in the pregame fanfest at Giant Stadium. The CRC bus will be returning to the D.C. area as soon as possible following the game (expected arrival back at Shady Grove around 11pm and Springfield Metro by 11:30 p.m.). Parking is free at both Metro stations but the Metro will be open in time for both our departure and return and we encourage our guests to make use of it if convenient.

We may add additional buses and/or departure points as demand merits.

You may bring your own food and drink on the bus (coolers will be provided for your convenience). There is no smoking allowed on the bus and time constraints will most likely prevent us from making any additional stops on the way. The bus is equipped with a restroom and video/tv units.
