October 12, 2002 | Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum | Uniondale, New York

Unfortunately, the weather did not cooperate and the rock show in the parking lot was canceled. Boo! There are no photos from this trip.

Trip Itinerary

The Caps Road Crew will be traveling to Long Island, New York to watch the Caps open their road schedule for 2002-03 with a grudge match pitting Olie Kolzig, Jaromir Jagr, and the Caps against Chris Osgood, Mark Parrish, and the Islanders at the Nassau County Coliseum on Saturday, October 12, 2002 at 7 pm.

The CRC will make arrangements for group tickets, however individual transportation (and lodging arrangements if desired) will be up to anyone attending.

Current plans- A contingent of the Crew will be driving up to Long Island by car on Saturday, October 12. The Crew will meet up outside the Coliseum by 4:00 pm for the big Islanders tailgate party featuring music from everyone’s favorite punk hockey band, Two Man Advantage, along with 80’s metal maniacs Quiet Riot! We’ll head inside by 6:20 pm for warmups and the 7 pm drop of the puck. Some of the Crew may be staying in New York after the game with some returning immediately following the game to the D.C. area.

Ticket requests (to sit with the CRC) must be placed by Friday, September 13 at noon. Tickets for this game are $40 per ticket. To request tickets, or for more information, please e-mail Jay Brooke at jay@capsroadcrew.com.
