Montreal/Long Island Combo Trip Part I

Washington Capitals at Montreal Canadiens
November 24, 2001 | Molson Centre | Montreal, Québec

The Caps were skating on the second half of a back-to-back this evening and it showed. Matt Pettinger opened the scoring in the 1st period but the home team answered with three in a row in the 2nd period, followed by a late Peter Bondra tally. The 3rd brought two more by the Habs, while a single Jagr goal in between them was not enough. The Caps went on to Long island having lost the game 5-3.
