Give the gift of hockey in Philly!

Washington Capitals at Philadelphia Flyers
December 20, 2008 | Wachovia Center | Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
Bus Trip

The Caps’ first meeting against the Flyers since the 2008 Playoffs was our first visit to Wachovia Center since Coach Boudreau’s first game behind the bench. We had the same suite as before, but the open bar and buffet did little to assuage the pain of the 7-1 drubbing the Caps experienced.
It was a fun trip despite the game.

Trip Itinerary

The Caps Road Crew will be traveling to Philadelphia, PA for a little pre-holiday showdown with the Flyers!

We will be hitting the road by bus to the Wachovia Center to cheer on the Caps as they take on our longtime conference rival, the Flyers, at 1 pm. This is the first meeting for these two teams since the playoffs and should prove to be a great game. We have acquired club level suite seats for this game (the same we had last season and for playoff game 4) and with the Flyers treating us to an open bar and buffet, tailgating will not be necessary.

This trip was VERY popular last season and sold out before the regular season even began. The Flyers front office always arranges for some exciting and unique perks for our group and those they are working on for this game sound like a blast also.

The CRC has made arrangements for bus transportation and group tickets. We also have a VERY limited number of extra tickets to the game. If you don’t require bus transportation, are a DC area Caps fan, and would like to join the group, please email us ASAP at info@capsroadcrew.com to make arrangements.

Current plans: The Crew will be meeting at Greenbelt metro station (inner loop of the beltway in Maryland at Exit 24) at 9a.m. on December 20th; the bus will depart at approximately 9:15 a.m. We’ll arrive at the Wachovia Complex by 11:30a.m., in plenty of time to head inside and catch warmups before the 1:00 p.m. drop of the puck. The CRC bus will be returning to the D.C. area as soon as possible following the game (expected arrival back in Greenbelt around 8:30 pm). The subway will be open in time for both our departure and return and we encourage our guests to make use of it if convenient.

Our seats are excellent and with bus transportation, the cost for the trip will be $225 per person, the same as last season. No extra fees or money over the cost of the bus and game tickets will be charged. You may bring your own food and drink on the bus (coolers will be provided for your convenience). There is no smoking allowed on the bus and time constraints will most likely prevent us from making any stops on the way. The bus is equipped with a restroom and video/tv units.

Please get your reservation in ASAP to guarantee your spot on the CRC bus! A reservation should be considered a firm commitment as it will be used to finalize the group plans and others’ reservations. We have space and tickets available for 50 people. Full payment will be due at the time of reservation but absolutely no later than December 1st.. To reserve your spot on the bus, or for more information, please e-mail info@capsroadcrew.com. (Please specify number of seats/tickets needed.)
