Our first trip to Pittsburgh since 2011 was one for the books! An early start made getting to the Steel Town easy as traffic was light and the travel was swift. Our Roadies were treated to some surprising hospitality as the PPG Paints Arena faithful were welcoming and friendly. The game was too, as the Caps took a 3-goal lead in the 1st period, and a 4th goal in the first minute of the 3rd on a beautiful short-handed play. The Pens staged a comeback scoring two in a row, but Holtby shut the door after that, allowing the Caps to finish off the home team with another goal later in the period. We left Pittsburgh victorious with a 5-2 final score.

Trip Itinerary
The Caps Road Crew will be making a long overdue trek to Pittsburgh for our first ever visit to PPG Paints Arena to see the Caps take on their longtime nemesis, the Penguins, on Saturday, March 7, 2020 at 1:00 pm.
The CRC has made arrangements for bus transportation and lower bowl group seats in Section 115. There are currently only enough tickets for those taking the bus but we are happy to share seat details with those hoping to purchase tickets on their own to sit nearby.
Current plans: The buses will depart at 7am from Shady Grove Metro Station (off I-270), and an additional pickup in Frederick may be added as needed. The CRC buses will go straight to the arena, arriving about 11am in time for warmups and will be returning to the D.C. area immediately following the game (expected arrival back at Shady Grove around 9pm). Parking is available at the Metro station however trains will not yet be running in time for our departure. We are happy to assist with carpooling for those who need it.
The cost for the trip will be $280 per person, which includes your lower bowl game ticket and bus transportation. No extra fees or money over the cost of the bus and game tickets will be charged. You may bring your own food and drink on the bus (coolers will be provided for your convenience). There is no smoking/vaping allowed on the bus but time permitting, we may make a stop on the way. The bus is equipped with a restroom, electric outlets, free WiFi, and video/TV units.
Please get your reservation in ASAP to guarantee your spot on the CRC bus! A reservation should be considered a firm commitment as it will be used to finalize others’ reservations. We will have space and tickets available for 50 people. To reserve your spot on the bus, or for more information, please e-mail info@capsroadcrew.com. (Please specify number of seats/tickets needed.)
