The first half of our Valentine’s Day weekend trip took the Crew to see the Caps play the Lightning. It was an historic game with Michael Neuvirth getting his first NHL start and Mike Green setting a new NHL record for most consecutive games with a goal by a defenseman.
Some of our group got on the local broadcast after Mike Green scored the record-setting goal. The footage ended up on Hockey Night in Canada! Check it out here.

Trip Itinerary
The CapsRoadCrew will be traveling to the Sunshine State to see our old pal Olie Kolzig and the Tampa Bay Lightning at 7:30 PM on Saturday, February 14, 2009.
The CRC will make arrangements for group tickets, however individual transportation and lodging arrangements will be up to those attending.
Current plans: On Saturday, February 14, the Crew will gather in Tampa inside the St. Pete Times Forum around 6:30 PM for warmups and the 7:30 PM drop of the puck. At this time we will be accepting reservations for the package ticket(s) to both the Tampa Bay and Florida games (see details for the Florida end of the trip). If we are able to accomodate those wishing tickets to just one or the other we will try, but cannot guarantee anything at present.
The cost will be $75 per ticket for the Tampa Bay game (the Florida tickets are $70, for a total of $145 for the package). Payment in full is required to reserve your tickets. No extra fees over the cost of the ticket will be charged.
Be sure to get your reservation in asap to guarantee your spot alongside the other Caps fans making the trip. The Lightning have set us up with excellent lower bowl seats that are well worth the trip.
